Zelenskyy Calls a Special Meeting of the National Security and Defense Council to Discuss Preparations for Winter

A special meeting of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine will be held this week to assess the implementation of resilience plans for regions and communities. 

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that officials who fail to carry out these tasks will be held accountable, and the results of the analysis will be used to formulate the country’s foreign policy objectives.

According to the head of state, the new NSDC Secretary, Ihor Klymenko, has extensive experience coordinating the security sector and ensuring the country’s resilience.

In addition, the President tasked the Prime Minister with preparing a clear list of urgent needs for the winter period. This list should include financial resources, equipment for local communities, and specific types of weaponry, in particular missiles for the Patriot, IRIS-T, Hawk, SAMP/T, and NASAMS air defense systems, as well as weapons for combat aviation.
