Zelenskyy and Netanyahu are set to hold a phone conversation in the coming days
Israeli Ambassador to Ukraine Michael Brodsky expressed hope that an official conversation between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will take place in the near future.
The diplomat made this statement in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.
Currently, the parties are coordinating schedules for this important diplomatic meeting, which was initiated by the Israeli side.
The diplomat explained that the delay in holding the talks is due solely to organizational issues.
“As far as I know, the conversation has not yet taken place due to technical reasons. I hope it will take place in the coming days,” Brodsky noted during the interview, emphasizing Israel’s readiness for dialogue.
Although the official agenda for the talks has not yet been released, the ambassador outlined a range of key topics that are likely to be central to the discussion.
The main issue remains the tense situation in the Middle East and Iran’s destructive role in global conflicts.
Special attention during the talks will be given to expressing gratitude to the Ukrainian side for its decisive steps in designating Iranian security forces as terrorist organizations.
Israel highly values Kyiv’s solidarity in countering common threats posed by the Tehran regime.
“I think our prime minister will not miss the opportunity to thank Ukraine for recognizing the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization. Many countries followed suit afterward, but we value Ukraine’s decision, and it sets a precedent,” the diplomat emphasized.
As a reminder, Ukraine and Israel are preparing for talks between their leaders.
Additionally, former Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov emphasizes the need for strategic rapprochement between the military-industrial complexes of Ukraine and Israel.
