Zelenskyy announced plans to appoint Bodnar and Zvarych as deputy foreign ministers
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced plans to appoint Vasyl Bodnar, Ukraine’s ambassador to Poland, and Vasyl Zvarych, Ukraine’s ambassador to the Czech Republic, as deputy foreign ministers. He made this announcement during a general meeting of ambassadors in Kyiv, according to “Ukrainska Pravda,” citing a correspondent for “European Pravda.”
Zvarych and Bodnar asked the head of state questions during the meeting with diplomats. Before publicly announcing the personnel plans, Zelenskyy asked Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga whether the ambassadors were aware of their possible transfer to Kyiv.
Responding regarding Zvarych, Sybiga said, “Vasyl Bohdanovych (Zvarych) has inside information, but formally he does not know yet.” The Ukrainian ambassador to the Czech Republic raised the issue of the “anti-ballistic coalition.” Zelenskyy praised him for developing relations with the Czech Republic and stated: “I think that as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, you will achieve even greater success.”

Commenting on Bodnar’s question, the president noted the complexity of relations with Poland. “Our discussions with Andriy Ivanovych (Sybiga) have led us to conclude that you, too, could certainly serve as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. We support you,” Zelenskyy said.
Earlier reports indicated that Zelenskyy had discussed upcoming personnel changes at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with Sybiga. According to the publication, appointments and dismissals of other ambassadors are also expected in the near future.
