Zelenskyy met with U.S. and NATO representatives to strengthen air defense
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with U.S. Ambassador to NATO Matthew Whitaker and Lieutenant General Curtis Bazzard, commander of NATO’s Special Mission for Security Assistance and Training for Ukraine. The parties discussed the supply of interceptors for the Patriot systems.
As the Ukrainian president noted, the meeting focused primarily on increasing the supply of interceptors for the Patriot system under the PURL program.
“We also discussed the bilateral defense partnership between the U.S. and Ukraine: the implementation of President Trump’s decision, adopted in Ankara, to grant Ukraine a license to manufacture Patriots, as well as the Drone Deal, which our teams are currently working on. This has real potential, and we hope to finalize it soon,” he said.
In addition, Zelenskyy awarded Curtis Bazzard the Order of Merit, Third Class.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy appointed Major General Mykhailo Drapaty, commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, replacing Oleksandr Syrskyi.
