The Ukrainian Armed Forces will receive an upgraded Gyurza-2 equipped with AI and a range of up to 1,200 km

The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense has standardized a modernized version of the UAT.GYURZA-02 special armored vehicle, developed based on combat experience and feedback from military personnel.

The updated “Gyurza-2” features a reinforced independent suspension, a modernized drivetrain, and new tires, which have improved the vehicle’s off-road capability and survivability in challenging conditions.

The armored vehicle has also been equipped with all-around anti-fragmentation armor, which provides additional protection for the crew, troops, and internal equipment against shrapnel.

The vehicle’s gross weight exceeds 18 metric tons, its payload capacity has been increased to 2.5 metric tons, and its range now reaches 1,200 km. The maximum speed is 110 km/h.

Mine protection complies with STANAG 4569 Levels 3a and 3b and ensures crew protection in the event of a mine explosion with a yield of up to 8 kg in TNT equivalent.

The “Gyurza-2” can be produced in two variants—with or without a combat turret.

The armored vehicle’s equipment includes air conditioning, ventilation, and heating systems; an autonomous heater; fire suppression systems; a night vision system; and a 360-degree video surveillance system with four cameras.

A distinctive feature of the new version is the ability to use artificial intelligence software to monitor the external environment and detect potential threats.
