190 battles in 24 hours: on the Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka fronts — General Staff
On October 2, there were 190 combat engagements on the front lines. Russian forces carried out 59 airstrikes, dropped 197 guided bombs, launched more than 5,600 kamikaze drones, and carried out nearly 2,000 artillery attacks. The highest number of attacks was recorded in the Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka sectors.
Russian troops continue to launch assaults along most sections of the front. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 190 combat engagements took place on October 2. Over the past 24 hours, the occupiers carried out 59 airstrikes and dropped 197 guided bombs. Russian troops also deployed 5,613 kamikaze drones and carried out 1,924 shelling attacks on Ukrainian military positions and populated areas.
The Russians were most active in the Pokrovsk direction. There, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 26 attacks. Russian units attempted to advance near Krasnopodillia, Novyi Donbas, Bilytske, Hannivka, Dobropillia, Vodyanske, Svitle, Novohryshyne, Serhiivka, and Molodetske. Two firefights in this sector were still ongoing.
According to the General Staff, over the past 24 hours, 47 Russian soldiers were killed in the Pokrovsk direction, and another 13 were wounded. Ukrainian forces also destroyed three enemy vehicles and eight pieces of specialized equipment. In addition, two UAV command posts and 29 shelters were destroyed.
Two more Russian vehicles and six artillery systems were damaged. Five drone control centers and 116 shelters were also damaged. Separately, the General Staff reported the destruction or neutralization of 258 drones of various types.
Kostiantynivka Sector
Another hotspot is the Kostiantynivka sector.

There, Ukrainian forces repelled 19 Russian assaults. The occupiers attempted to advance near Kostiantynivka and in the direction of Illinivka, Novoselivka, Rusyn Yar, Osykove, Dovha Balka, Stepy, and Vilne. Russian troops continue to apply pressure in this sector, trying to find weaknesses in the Ukrainian defenses.
South Slobozhansky Direction
In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, Russian forces launched eight assaults on Ukrainian military positions.

Fighting took place near Ternova, Izbytske, Prykolotne, and Chaikivka. At the time this report was compiled, two engagements were still ongoing.
Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk Directions
Three assaults by Russian forces were recorded in the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk directions.

In addition, the occupiers carried out two airstrikes, using four guided bombs. Over the past 24 hours, the Russians also fired on Ukrainian military positions and populated areas 55 times.
Kupiansk Sector
In the Kupiansk sector, Russian troops carried out two assaults.

The occupiers attempted to attack Ukrainian positions near Radkivka and advance toward Kivsharivka.
Lymansk direction
In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian forces repelled eight attempts by Russian troops to advance.

Fighting took place near Nadiya, Novoselivka, Torske, and Lyman. Another clash was ongoing at the time this report was prepared.
Sloviansk Sector
On the Sloviansk front, Ukrainian forces halted four attempts by Russian units to advance.

The attacks took place in the areas of Ozerny and Kryva Luka.
Kramatorsk Sector
In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian forces did not conduct any offensive operations today.

Oleksandrivka Sector
In the Oleksandrivka sector, Ukrainian forces repelled three attacks.

The Russians attempted to advance in the Voskresenka and Ternove areas.
Hulyaypil Sector
In the Huliaipole sector, four attacks by Russian forces were recorded over the past 24 hours.

The occupiers were active in the areas of Rizdvyanka and Hulyaypil.
Orikhiv Sector
On the Orikhiv sector, the Defense Forces repelled three enemy attempts to advance.

Russian troops attacked near Plavny and attempted to advance toward Primorsky.
Dnipro Sector
On the Dnipro sector, Russian troops did not conduct any offensive operations. Thus, the main activity of Russian troops on October 2 was concentrated on the Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka sectors. At the same time, attacks continued in other sectors of the front—from the Kharkiv region to the Zaporizhzhia region.
