SBU “Alpha” destroyed $4 billion worth of Russian air defense in 2025
Special forces of the “Alpha” Center for Special Operations of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) delivered devastating long-range strikes on key elements of Russian air defense throughout 2025.
This was reported by the SBU.
The total value of destroyed and damaged systems is estimated at around $4 billion. These operations significantly weakened the enemy’s multi-layered air defense, opening new opportunities for Ukrainian forces.
The fighters struck elite systems such as S-300, S-350, and S-400, the backbone of the enemy’s air protection. They also targeted Buk-M1 and Buk-M2 surface-to-air missile systems, as well as Pantsir-S1 and Pantsir-S2 missile-artillery systems.
Mobile systems Tor-M1, Tor-M2, and Tor-M3, which were supposed to cover forward positions, were also destroyed.
Particularly damaging were losses of Russian radars and reconnaissance stations. Special forces “blinded” the enemy by destroying radars 55Zh6U “Nebo-U” and “Nebo-M”, as well as “Podlyot” and “Niobiy”.
Additionally, radars Kasta-2E2, Gamma-DE, Protivnik-GE, as well as those associated with Buk, S-300/S-400, and 92N6, were destroyed — without them, the occupiers are effectively blind to aerial threats.
