The Russians have carried out 58 attacks since the start of the day, with the highest number in the Pokrovsk direction
Since the start of the day, Russian troops have attacked the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces 58 times. The heaviest fighting is taking place in the Pokrovsk direction, where 22 enemy attacks have been recorded.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook, releasing operational information as of 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15.
Artillery shelling of border areas continues. Today in the Sumy region, the settlements of Tovstodubove, Bachivsk, Iskryskivshchyna, Yastrubshchyna, Atynske, Ryzhivka, Korenok, Budky, Volfyne, Neskuchne, Zno-Trubchevska, Rohizne, and Prohres were hit. Bezdryk and Khomine came under enemy airstrikes.
In the Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, the enemy carried out two airstrikes, dropped four guided bombs, and fired 49 times at settlements and Ukrainian military positions, two of which involved the use of multiple launch rocket systems.
In the Southern Slobozhansky direction, the enemy twice stormed the positions of Ukrainian units in the areas of the settlements of Starytsia and Vovchansk; one firefight is ongoing.
In the Kupiansk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled two enemy assaults toward Novoplatonivka.
In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled three attempts by the invaders to advance toward the settlements of Shyikivka, Novosergiivka, and Lyman.
In the Sloviansk direction, the enemy has not conducted any active operations since the start of the day.
In the Kramatorsk sector, the enemy attacked three times in the areas of the settlements of Minkivka, Nykyforivka, and toward Fedorivka.
In the Kostiantynivka sector, the invaders carried out 11 attacks near Kostiantynivka, Pleshchiivka, and toward Illinivka and Novopavlivka. Two firefights are ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy carried out 22 attacks. The invaders attempted to advance in the areas of the settlements of Rodynske, Pokrovsk, Udachne, Hryshyne, Muravka, Novomykolaivka, Molodetske, Filiya, and toward the settlements of Novooleksandrivka, Bilytske, and Ivanivka. Five clashes are still ongoing.
In the Oleksandrivka sector, the enemy launched two attacks near the settlement of Oleksandrohrad. The outskirts of the settlement of Pidhavrylivka were subjected to an airstrike.
In the Huliaipole sector, the invaders carried out nine attacks in the areas of Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, and Pryluky, as well as toward the settlements of Dobropillia, Huliaipolske, and Staroukrainka. The enemy carried out airstrikes on the areas surrounding the settlements of Vozdvyzhivka, Charivne, and Kopani.
In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy carried out an airstrike on the city of Orikhiv.
In the Dnipro direction, the enemy carried out three unsuccessful attacks toward the Antonivsky Bridge. Another engagement is currently ongoing.
In other sectors, there are currently no significant changes in the situation. No enemy attempts to advance have been recorded.
Russia has lost another 1,010 soldiers and four multiple launch rocket systems in the war against Ukraine.
Over the past 24 hours, on April 14, there were 184 combat engagements on the front lines, with the highest number occurring in the Pokrovsk direction. Russian troops actively employed aircraft, drones, and artillery in an attempt to apply pressure across the entire line of contact. Ukrainian defense forces are repelling the attacks and wearing down the enemy.
Ukrainian forces are also changing their approach to using Patriot systems due to a shortage of missiles. Instead of launching several interceptors at a single target, they now often launch just one.
DeepState analysts report an expansion of the Russian “gray zone” along the border in the Sumy region, which, according to their estimates, already covers about 150 square kilometers.
