Alla Pugacheva reacted to the cynical nighttime shelling of Kyiv
Russian singer Alla Pugacheva publicly expressed her solidarity with Ukrainians during yet another massive airstrike on Ukraine on the night of Monday, June 15.
The artist left a comment under a post by Ukrainian singer Natalia Mogilevskaya, who shared footage of herself taking shelter with her children amid the sounds of explosions in the capital.
In response to this gesture, Ukrainians took to social media en masse to thank the singer for her clear civic stance and humanity.
Natalia Mogilevskaya, who was with her family during yet another wave of enemy drone and missile strikes in Kyiv, posted an emotional video on her social media accounts.
In the released footage, the star is sitting in a safe place next to her daughters, while the loud echoes of air defense explosions and incoming missiles can be clearly heard in the background.
The Ukrainian singer urged her followers to immediately take shelter in safe places and look after their loved ones.
“Unfortunately, today is just the beginning. There are no words left, nor tears. Let’s hang in there. Everyone take cover, if you have a place to do so,” Natalia Mogilevskaya wrote in the caption to her video message.
Hundreds of comments from frightened and outraged Kyiv residents appeared under this post, along with words of support from colleagues in the entertainment industry.
The reaction that drew the most attention from users was that of Alla Pugacheva, who left an eloquent emoji of clasped hands under the video.
