Ukrainian Armed Forces eliminate more than a thousand occupiers in one day

As of 12 January 2026, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported significant losses suffered by Russian occupying forces. Over the past day alone, Ukrainian troops eliminated 1,060 enemy personnel.

The total number of destroyed Russian armoured vehicles has reached 23,892 since the start of the full-scale war, which has now lasted 1,419 days. These figures reflect Ukraine’s continued efforts to resist Russian aggression.

Russia’s losses in the war against Ukraine as of 12 January are estimated as follows:

Personnel: approximately 1,220,000 (+1,060)

Tanks: 11,541 (+0)

Armoured combat vehicles: 23,892 (+7)

Artillery systems: 35,973 (+21)

Multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS): 1,598 (+0)

Air defence systems: 1,270 (+1)

Aircraft: 434 (+0)

Helicopters: 347 (+0)

Operational and tactical UAVs: 104,421 (+353)

Cruise missiles: 4,155 (+0)

Ships / boats: 28 (+0)

Submarines: 2 (+0)

Motor vehicles and fuel tankers: 73,742 (+98)

Special equipment: 4,042 (+3)
