This was reported by Andriy Demchenko, spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. As he noted on the air during a broadcast on Den.LIVE, border guards are monitoring the situation in the neighboring country.
He added that there is activity in Belarus in the form of the development of training grounds and infrastructure, which could potentially be used in coordination with Russian forces.
"Although Russia currently does not maintain sufficient forces or units on Belarusian territory that could threaten our country, at any moment all this infrastructure being created by Belarus could be used by Russia," Demchenko explained.
At the same time, he noted that intelligence units are monitoring the situation in Belarus, and the movement of Russian forces there will not go unnoticed. However, Ukraine must be prepared for any turn of events.
"Our task is to repel any attempts at invasion and counter any attempts to escalate the situation. Especially if there are provocative actions directly near our border," Andriy Demchenko concluded.
