Fighting in Rodynske continues — Ukrainian forces refute Russian claims of capturing the city
Fierce fighting is ongoing in Rodynske, Donetsk region. Reports of the city being fully under Russian control are false.
This was reported by the Operational Command “East.”
According to the military, the enemy attempted to consolidate positions along the railway north of Rodynske, as well as in the western parts of the city, but was unsuccessful. Ukrainian units continue to hold positions and repel enemy advances.
Overall, in the area of responsibility of the Ukrainian forces “East,” 86 Russian assault actions were repelled over the past 24 hours. The heaviest fighting continues in the Pokrovsk-Myrnohrad agglomeration, particularly in the Pokrovsk direction, where 52 enemy attacks were stopped.
Ukrainian forces control the northern part of Pokrovsk and block enemy advances in the central districts. In Myrnohrad, defensive lines are being held, and additional forces and resources have been deployed to strengthen city defenses, although logistics remain difficult.
Over the past day, 146 enemy personnel were neutralized, including 100 killed. Enemy equipment, UAV control points, personnel shelters, and 14 enemy drones were also destroyed or damaged.
