Russian forces attacked five Naftogaz facilities in the Sumy and Kharkiv regions

On May 3, Russian forces struck five infrastructure facilities belonging to the Naftogaz Group, causing damage to equipment and triggering fires. Due to the intense attacks, the company was forced to temporarily suspend production operations at the affected sites in the Sumy and Kharkiv regions.

This was reported by the company’s press service.

Serhiy Koretskyi, Chairman of the Board of Naftogaz of Ukraine, noted that the intensity of enemy shelling of energy infrastructure continues to increase. Specialists from the State Emergency Service and relevant company employees are working at the sites of the strikes to mitigate the consequences of the attacks. Efforts are currently underway to stabilize the situation and assess the extent of damage to production facilities.

Despite disruptions to operational cycles, specialists are working around the clock to restore operations at the facilities as quickly as possible. The company emphasizes that Russia’s systematic strikes are aimed at destabilizing Ukraine’s energy sector. Full details regarding the extent of damage to each individual facility are not being disclosed at this time for security reasons.

On the morning of May 4, Russian terrorists launched a missile strike on the town of Merefa in the Kharkiv region. Preliminary reports indicate the strike was carried out using an Iskander ballistic missile.

Nine civilians were injured as a result of a drone attack on Zaporizhzhia carried out by the aggressor country on Sunday. Among the victims is a two-year-old child, and the ages of those injured range from 2 to 67 years old.

On the afternoon of May 3, Russian troops launched missile strikes on Ukraine, resulting in several explosions being heard in Dnipro.
