Budanov announced an intensification of strikes against Russia

Kirill Budanov stated that Ukraine will intensify its strikes on Russian territory if the Kremlin does not end the war. According to him, Russia “will feel the consequences firsthand.”

Kirill Budanov, head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, gave an interview to LTV journalist Gints Amolins during the “Riga Conference.” One of the topics of conversation was Ukrainian attacks on Russian territory and the possibility of their further intensification.

The journalist recalled a recent strike by a Ukrainian long-range drone that traveled approximately 3,000 km to hit a target in the Russian Arctic and asked whether the geographic scope of such attacks is likely to expand further.

Budanov replied that the intensity of the strikes would increase if Russia continued its military operations against Ukraine.

According to the head of the Presidential Office, Ukrainian attacks will become deeper and more powerful. He emphasized that the further course of events is directly linked to Russia’s actions and its willingness to continue the war.

“If Russia does not cease hostilities against us, it is clear that it will feel the consequences even more acutely and intensely. Our strikes will become increasingly deep and possess greater combat power,” Budanov stated.

Following Russian strikes on the airports in Kyiv and Boryspil, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced adjustments to the operation targeting Russian airspace next week.

U.S. President’s Special Envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner arrived in Moscow. The American delegation is set to hold talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin regarding an end to Russia’s war against Ukraine.

On the morning of September 5, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced new strikes against Ukraine. This announcement came after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy proposed a ceasefire in the airspace for the duration of the visit by U.S. President Donald Trump’s representatives—Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.
