Budanov refuses to disclose results of Abu Dhabi negotiations
The negotiation process aimed at ending the war in Ukraine must take place non-publicly. This was stated by Kyrylo Budanov, head of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (HUR), during the second military prayer breakfast, RBC-Ukraine reports.
When asked to confirm information about secret talks in Abu Dhabi, he replied that any sensitive process requires silence.
“All negotiations must remain in the shadows, so to speak. Otherwise, they will not be successful. Whether we like it or not — we could simply disrupt them. So just wait,” Budanov said.
As a reminder, on December 5, the U.S. and Ukrainian delegations held their sixth meeting in the past two weeks to discuss a peace plan. The parties are expected to meet again tomorrow to continue the negotiations.
On December 4, the Ukrainian delegation held talks in the United States on the updated version of the American peace plan, which was revised in Geneva.
Yuri Ushakov, aide to Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, claims that U.S. President Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner will have significant influence on shaping a peace agreement for Ukraine.
