Five Ukrainian Regions Left Without Power Due to Russian Attacks
Due to combat operations and strikes on energy infrastructure, parts of communities in Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions are temporarily without electricity. The hardest hit is Odesa region, where about 107,000 consumers remain without power. Restoration work is underway with the involvement of local energy services.
This was reported by the press center of the Ministry of Energy.
Where the security situation allows, crews are already working on repairs. Energy workers are doing everything possible to quickly restore power to Ukrainian homes, social infrastructure, and enterprises.
In some regions, scheduled hourly outages may be applied.
“In certain regions, hourly power outage schedules are expected during peak evening consumption. Additionally, during the day, some regions operate reduced power schedules for businesses and industry. Up-to-date information on restrictions is posted on the official websites of regional distribution system operators,” the Ministry of Energy added.
It should be recalled that in Kyiv, water utility facilities are without power, causing low pressure on the right bank.
On March 9, a dangerous level of air pollution was recorded in Kyiv.
Additionally, on March 9–10, traffic in Kyiv will be partially restricted due to repair work.
