Drones attack chemical plant in Russia’s Stavropol Krai
Drones attacked the chemical enterprise Nevinnomyssk Azot, located in Russia’s Stavropol Krai near the city of Nevinnomyssk.
The facility is a key producer of explosives in southern Russia and supplies components to NPO Iskra, which specialises in solid-fuel rocket engines.
In addition, the plant produces raw materials for RDX and HMX, which are used in artillery shells and missiles.

The attack on the plant marked an important stage in efforts to destabilise Russia’s military-industrial complex, as the enterprise has a production capacity of over 1 million tonnes of ammonia and up to 1.4 million tonnes of ammonium nitrate per year.
In December 2025, Ukraine’s Defence Forces had already struck this facility, highlighting its importance for supplying the Russian armed forces.
Further consequences of these attacks could lead to a reduction in the enemy’s production capacity, complicating the supply of explosives for military purposes and, in turn, increasing security in conflict regions.
