In Lviv, the Church of Saints Olga and Elizabeth was damaged in a drone attack
In Lviv, as a result of a Russian attack on January 15, the Church of Saints Olga and Elizabeth was damaged. A Russian drone hit a children’s playground near the Stepan Bandera monument, and the blast wave damaged the nearby church.
According to Suspilne Lviv, the church’s stained-glass windows were damaged. The church is an architectural landmark.
Nine residential buildings were also damaged — their windows were blown out. In addition, windows were broken at School No. 55, at a nearby college, and at Lviv Polytechnic.
Early on January 15, explosions were heard in Lviv amid warnings about the threat of “Shahed” drones. Later, the head of the regional military administration, Maksym Kozytskyi, reported a UAV strike in the center of Lviv, on Stepan Bandera Street.
The city mayor, Andriy Sadovyi, posted a video showing the drone hitting the children’s playground near the Stepan Bandera monument.
As a reminder, in Kyiv, a Russian drone fell on a private house during an attack.
Also, as a result of enemy attacks in the Kharkiv region, eight people were injured, including children.
