Eight people, including children, injured in enemy attack on Kharkiv region

Over the past 24 hours, on 13 January, Russian forces shelled the city of Kharkiv and 11 other settlements in the region. As a result of the attacks, eight people were injured, including two children.

This was reported on Facebook by the head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, Oleh Syniehubov.

In the village of Voloska Balakliia of the Shevchenkove community, an 11-year-old boy was injured. In Kharkiv, a 16-year-old girl was injured. In the village of Zadonetske of the Zmiiv community, a 55-year-old woman and men aged 27, 52 and 60 were injured. In the village of Zhukiv Yar, a 74-year-old woman and an 85-year-old man were injured.

The enemy attacked the Slobidskyi district of Kharkiv using UAVs.

Russian forces struck the Kharkiv region with one missile (the type is being determined), one guided aerial bomb, 15 Geran-2 UAVs, three Molniya-type UAVs and three FPV drones.

In Kharkiv, a sports facility was damaged.

In Zolochiv, Bohodukhiv district, a private house, two outbuildings and power lines were damaged.

In the Kupiansk district, a vehicle was damaged in the village of Hrushivka; two private houses, two outbuildings and a vehicle were damaged in the village of Zhukiv Yar; and two private houses were damaged in the village of Rozdolne.

In the Izium district, a private house was damaged in the village of Oleksandrivka.

In the Chuhuiv district, a private house was damaged in Staryi Saltiv; in the village of Zadonetske, a recreation facility, two private houses, a garage and a vehicle were damaged.

The transit evacuation point in Lozova received 68 people over the past day. Since the start of its operation, a total of 16,573 people have been registered at the centre.

In 2025 alone, Kharkiv endured more than 700 Russian attacks and over 100 days of continuous air raid alerts.

On 1 January, the occupiers once again shelled Kharkiv, damaging an eco-park. As a result of a guided aerial bomb strike, rare birds were killed, while people and animals, including lions, were injured.
