Ukrainian Unmanned Systems Forces destroy five Russian air defence systems in 48 hours

Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces (USF) have delivered a devastating blow to Russian air defence.

Over the course of two days, operators destroyed five surface-to-air missile systems and one Vityaz radar station. The strikes took place in the occupied territories of Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions, at a depth of up to 160 km from the front line.

USF commander Robert Brovdi, known by the call sign “Madyar,” reported the success on 14 January. A key role was played by the 412th “Nemesis” Brigade, which coordinated the strikes through the newly established Deep Strike Centre.

Separately, the 413th “Raid” Regiment destroyed a Strela-10 launcher.

In Donetsk region, on the Mariupol and Vuhledar (Volnovakha) axes, drones struck a Tor SAM system, a 50N6E radar of the S-350 Vityaz complex, and a Buk-M1 system. These systems are worth millions of dollars and are designed to protect against aircraft and cruise missiles. Their loss significantly weakens enemy air defence at the tactical depth.

As a reminder, the USF of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have previously destroyed 59 enemy drone launch sites.

Additionally, Ukrainian troops eliminated more than a thousand occupiers in a single day.
