Drones again attacked an oil refinery in Volgograd
On the night of Friday, December 26, a group of drones carried out another attack on the LUKOIL–Volgograd Refinery located in the Krasnoarmeysky district of Volgograd.
This was reported by the Russian service of the BBC.
Volgograd Oblast Governor Andrey Bocharov stated that Volgograd was coming under attack by Ukrainian drones.
He wrote on his Telegram channel that the repelling of the attack was ongoing and that “at this time there are no casualties or damage to facilities.”
Telegram channels reported that about 20 explosions were heard over Volgograd and that around ten drones were destroyed.
Most of the explosions were recorded specifically in the Krasnoarmeysky district of the city, where the LUKOIL–Volgograd Refinery is located. This facility has repeatedly been targeted by Ukrainian drones in the past.
Meanwhile, Russia’s Ministry of Defense claimed that overnight Russian air defense systems “shot down 77 Ukrainian drones.”

Over the past day, Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters eliminated nearly 900 occupiers and more than 500 drones.
