Experts are outraged by the 28-point plan for Ukraine: "This proposal is a surrender"
A new peace plan for Ukraine developed by the US government is presented in Berlin. It provides for Ukraine's refusal to join NATO, a reduction in the number of armed forces to 600,000 troops, and territorial losses. Political analyst Thomas Jaeger called these 28 points a surrender statement, pointing out that Ukraine is only offered security guarantees from the United States in exchange for participation in energy projects.

Experts note that the plan is beneficial only to Russia, as it provides for the full restoration of Russia's ties with the international economy and the lifting of sanctions. Security expert Christian Mölling noted that agreements with Russia are not valid because Russia does not fulfill its obligations. However, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has expressed his readiness for negotiations, although he is under considerable pressure to accept these conditions.
According to reports, if all parties agree to the plan, a truce process could begin, with possible elections in Ukraine in 100 days. Experts warn that this could lead to new aggression from Russia in the next few years, so European states should support Ukraine in opposing this plan.
