Fedorov Revealed Details of the Secret "Auchan" Operation: Over 800 Pieces of Russian Military Equipment Were Destroyed

Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov provided details on Operation “Ashan, during which the Ukrainian military destroyed more than 800 pieces of Russian military equipment over the course of several nights. According to him, the occupiers were unable to carry out mechanized offensives for about half a year afterward.

Fedorov noted that specially designed drones were used for the operation, and the targets—tanks, armored personnel carriers, artillery, and other armored vehicles—were pre-programmed into the Delta system thanks to intelligence work.

The minister also noted that several weeks ago, the operation was repeated under the name “Art.Ashan, this time focusing on striking Russian artillery. According to the Ministry of Defense, units of the Unmanned Systems Forces carried out strikes in the Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, and Donetsk sectors.

During the second phase, 231 targets were struck, of which 171 were destroyed. In total, over the two phases of the operation, the Ukrainian military struck 1,180 Russian targets.

According to Fedorov, the idea for the operation arose during tests of a new drone bomber, which proved capable of operating at a much greater range than expected. He added that following these strikes, Russian forces temporarily reduced the intensity of their combat operations.
