The building housing the "Defense of Sevastopol" panorama museum in occupied Sevastopol was completely destroyed by fire following a drone attack. According to Russian media reports, the fire engulfed the entire facility, which covers an area of about 30,000 square meters, and rescue workers warned of the risk of the dome collapsing.
According to the Russian side, the museum’s panorama has been almost completely destroyed. Only a few fragments of the exhibition could be salvaged from the damaged building. The museum noted that the original painting by Franz Roubaud, “The Defense of Sevastopol, 1854–1855,” was not kept there—the building housed a copy created by Soviet artists in 1954.
In addition to the panoramic canvas, the museum housed exhibits from the Crimean War era and an exhibition dedicated to the restoration of the famous painting. Following the strike, Russian investigative authorities announced the launch of an investigation into the circumstances of the attack.

In Sevastopol, the main symbol of the occupiers was damaged following a drone attack.
Data from the Russian Ministry of Finance show that in the first quarter of 2026, the Russian army signed 71,216 new contracts—the lowest figure in the last three years. At the same time, regional budget payments, according to analysts’ estimates, may indicate approximately 9,000 military casualties per month, or about 300 people per day.
Earlier, the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) reported on drones with a range of up to 3,500 km.
