During Russia’s nighttime missile attack on Kyiv, a finished goods warehouse belonging to the international tobacco company Philip Morris was destroyed. This marks the fourth strike on the company’s facilities in Ukraine since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion.
The company noted that none of its employees were injured during the attack, as all workers were in shelters in accordance with established safety protocols.
The extent of the damage is currently being assessed, and work is underway to address the aftermath of the shelling.
“We understood that, in the context of a full-scale war, such a turn of events was, unfortunately, possible. That is precisely why we diversified our logistics network in advance. We are already quickly reconfiguring our supply chains, so product deliveries to our customers will not be interrupted,” the company stated.
Philip Morris emphasized that despite the loss of its finished goods warehouse, the company is already reorganizing its logistics to ensure uninterrupted product deliveries to its customers.
This was reported by Victoria Ilinska, head of communications at Philip Morris, on Facebook.
