Photo: Russians attacked a bus with an FPV drone in the Sumy community
On July 24, Russian troops attacked a “Sumy–Stetskivka” commuter bus in the Sumy community with an FPV drone. The vehicle sustained damage as a result of the strike, but there were no casualties.
This was reported by Serhiy Kryvosheyenko, head of the Sumy City Military Administration. According to him, at the time of the attack, the bus was near a bus stop in one of the community’s administrative districts.
The enemy drone flew into the anti-drone corridor, detonated, but did not directly hit the bus. As a result of the explosion, the vehicle was damaged by debris.
“The bus sustained damage from the debris. But the main thing is that no one was injured,” Kryvosheyenko noted.
The head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration emphasized that this incident once again confirms the effectiveness of anti-drone nets, which help mitigate the consequences of Russian attacks and protect the civilian population.

As a reminder, Russian drones attacked the Chernihiv region and damaged a gas station and a resort.
Russia launched a ballistic missile strike on Kyiv on the afternoon of July 24, although such attacks usually take place at night. An expert believes this could have been an attempt to wear down Ukraine’s air defense, a show of force, or the result of a technical delay in the missile launch.
