Photo: Debris from an air defense system fell on a house in Belgorod
On the morning of May 20, a rocket attack was reported in Belgorod, resulting in damage to an apartment building. According to local authorities, the building’s roof was punctured, and windows and a car were also damaged.
Russian Telegram channels report that there were no casualties, and emergency services are on the scene. Air defense launchers were also found in the courtyard of one of the buildings.
“This morning, the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched another missile strike on the city. According to preliminary information, fortunately, there were no casualties. However, there is damage to an apartment building—the roof was punctured as a result of the attack. Additionally, windows and a car were likely damaged (details are being confirmed). Emergency and rescue services are already on the scene. We are assessing the extent of the damage and preparing for restoration work,” Belgorod Mayor Valentin Demidov reported on his Telegram channel.
According to the local channel “Pepel,” after the missile attack, the booster blocks of the Pantsir-S1 air defense system fell in the courtyard of a building at 1 60 Let Oktyabrya Street in Belgorod.





Earlier, anti-drone corridors began to be established in the Belgorod region.
As a reminder, on the night of March 8, a powerful missile strike was launched against energy facilities in Belgorod and the Belgorod region.
Due to the shelling, Belgorod was left without electricity and heating.
Additionally, a gas pipeline was damaged in the Belgorod region, and schools are closed.
