In Vyshneve, Kyiv Oblast, 253 private residential buildings were damaged as a result of a Russian attack. 

Nine people were killed in the strike. As of the evening of July 7, 18 victims were being treated at medical facilities, where they are receiving the necessary care.

After a preliminary inspection of the damaged homes, authorities classified them by degree of damage:

  • 115 homes have minor damage. Their owners will be eligible for compensation to carry out repairs on their own under state guarantees.

  • 47 homes require major repairs, which are planned to be funded by the state and regional budgets.

  • 91 homes were completely destroyed and require reconstruction. The restoration of these properties will also be funded by the state and the region.

In addition to private homes, the following structures in Vyshneve have been damaged:

  • 27 apartment buildings, where 1,692 windows were shattered;

  • two high-rise buildings that require restoration;

  • the neighborhood’s external utility networks.

Authorities have also received 65 reports from business representatives regarding damaged property.

The commissions are still working, so the extent of the damage is still being assessed,” Kalashnik noted.

Temporary housing has been arranged for people who have been left homeless.

As of July 7, 60 people were staying in temporary shelters, while another 160 were temporarily staying with relatives and friends.

According to the head of the KOVA, there are sufficient accommodation resources, and they will be expanded promptly if necessary.

In the town of Vyshneve, Kyiv Oblast, units of the State Emergency Service are continuing their round-the-clock efforts to address the aftermath of a massive airstrike. As a result of the enemy shelling, seven people were killed, and another 26 citizens sustained injuries of varying severity.

Zelenskyy expects the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) to conduct a detailed investigation into what happened in Vyshneve.

Following the Russian strike on Vyshneve—which led to a massive fire, secondary explosions, and the evacuation of residents—calls have intensified in the public sphere for an investigation into the location of potentially hazardous facilities near residential areas.
