Russian FSB shoots Kislovodsk resident allegedly for preparing a terrorist attack
FSB officers shot and killed a 43-year-old resident of Kislovodsk in Stavropol, accusing him of armed resistance during an attempted arrest.
This was reported by Vazhnyye Istorii.
According to the official version from the security service, the man was allegedly preparing to detonate a car near a military unit on orders from Ukrainian intelligence. Authorities claim that the deceased had previously set up a cache containing an explosive device, which was later seized from an 18-year-old student detained in December.
Independent investigators estimate that this incident is at least the 76th case of citizens being killed by security forces during arrests since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion.
The practice of eliminating suspects without trial or investigation has become systemic, implemented actively by Russia both domestically and in occupied regions. While Russia attempts to present the killings as counter-sabotage operations, human rights activists point to a growing number of extrajudicial executions sanctioned by the state.
In Kabardino-Balkaria, FSB officers shot a man who allegedly tried to blow up a section of the gas distribution system.
Previously, in Odesa, a court sentenced a 47-year-old FSB agent to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property for coordinating Russia’s missile and drone attacks on the city.
Earlier, the Odesa regional prosecutor’s office sent an indictment to court against a 23-year-old resident of Zaporizhzhia region who detonated a car containing an employee of a defence enterprise.
