The General Staff confirmed successful strikes by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the Pantsir-S1 system and the Ilsky Oil Refinery
On June 1 and during the night of June 2, 2026, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out a series of precision strikes against a number of key strategic targets belonging to the Russian occupiers.
Ukrainian troops successfully attacked large oil refineries on the territory of the Russian Federation, air defense systems in Crimea, as well as an enemy ship and numerous drone control centers.
In particular, a precision strike hit the Ilsky oil refinery, located in the Krasnodar Krai of the Russian Federation.
A powerful explosion was recorded on the premises of this facility, followed by a massive fire; experts are currently assessing the exact extent of the damage.
This plant is one of the largest oil refineries in southern Russia, with a capacity of approximately 6.6 million tons of raw materials per year.
This facility plays a critically important role, as it produces fuel to meet the needs of the occupying forces.
At the same time, Ukrainian units have successfully demilitarized enemy forces in the temporarily occupied territories and in the border regions of Russia.
Near the village of Vidne in Crimea, soldiers destroyed a scarce “Pantsir-S1” anti-aircraft missile and gun system.
A warehouse of the occupiers’ unmanned aerial vehicles in Shakhtarsk, Donetsk Oblast, was also destroyed, along with three key UAV command posts in the areas of Ustinka in Belgorod Oblast, Lugove in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, and Hola Prystan in Kherson Oblast.
Official confirmation of the large-scale operation was released by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Throughout May 2026, the Unmanned Systems Forces carried out effective strikes on 18 strategic oil and gas facilities on the territory of the Russian Federation and in the temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories.
