The death toll in Kyiv from enemy shelling has risen to six
On the night of June 2, Russian forces carried out a massive combined attack on Kyiv, killing six civilians and injuring at least 65 others, with injuries ranging in severity.
The enemy used dozens of ballistic and cruise missiles, as well as hundreds of attack drones, causing widespread destruction and fires in eight districts of the capital.
Residential buildings, civilian infrastructure, and four medical facilities were hit.
In the Shevchenkivskyi district of the capital, a tragic incident occurred when a woman with two children was on her way to the nearest shelter as the attack began.
The mother died on the spot from her injuries, and both minor children were immediately hospitalized.
In total, at least 19 people were injured on the premises of the struck residential complex, and medical personnel provided them with emergency care.
The death toll from the morning attack rose throughout the day, as one of the seriously injured men died in the intensive care unit.
Mayor Vitali Klitschko confirmed this information on his social media accounts: “One victim died in the hospital. As a result of the attack on the capital on June 2, five people have died.”
Among the other victims of Russian terror, law enforcement identified a 19-year-old girl and a 77-year-old woman.
