Italy will allocate nearly €900,000 for cyber defense in Ternopil region

Italy has funded a large-scale program to enhance the cyber resilience of Ternopil region, totaling around €900,000.

This was reported by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The funding will be part of the international Tallinn Mechanism initiative, aimed at strengthening Ukraine’s cyber defense amid ongoing cyberattacks by the aggressor.

Within the program, two major projects will be implemented in Ternopil region. The first involves upgrading network and server equipment, which will significantly improve the reliability of the regional digital infrastructure.

The second project focuses on creating a secure network using automated security systems that comply with modern cybersecurity standards.

Special attention will be given to training specialists. Staff will be taught to effectively use new technological solutions, including advanced automated threat detection and response systems (EDR).

Italy has called on Europe not to quarrel with the USA. Italy also confirmed the release of two of its citizens from prison in Venezuela.
