Shelling has left the Yunakivska community nearly deserted
As of the end of 2025, only 31 people remained in the Yunakivska community in the Sumy region out of a population of almost five thousand.
This was reported by the head of the community, Olena Sima.
According to her, 2025 was one of the most difficult years in the community's history: seven civilians were killed due to constant shelling. The community's settlements suffered critical damage.
The Basivsky district was completely destroyed, the village of Yunakivka suffered critical damage, and the Khrapivshchyna and Kiyanitsky districts were significantly damaged, with some villages only 40% intact. The Mogritsky district was also severely affected.
