Russian command is sending medics into the trenches due to a manpower shortage

Russian occupying forces are facing a critical shortage of personnel at the front, forcing commanders to reassign medical staff to combat roles.

According to the partisan movement ATESH, medics are being sent to the front line with assault rifles, leaving wounded Russian soldiers without any medical assistance.

Agents of the movement from within the 28th Motor Rifle Regiment operating on the Kherson axis report a catastrophic situation. Due to the high activity of Ukrainian drones, the number of wounded Russian troops is increasing every day, while evacuation has virtually ceased.

“Amid sharply increased activity of Ukrainian UAVs, which, according to Russian servicemen themselves, ‘appear everywhere and constantly’ within a 25-kilometre zone, the number of wounded is growing daily. But there is no one to treat or evacuate them,” ATESH said.

Medical specialists who previously dealt exclusively with healthcare support are now being drawn into combat. Therapists, paramedics, medical orderlies from aid stations, and evacuation unit personnel are reportedly being forced to fight.

Russian command is effectively dismantling the medical chain in certain sectors of the front in order to plug gaps in the defence with additional manpower.

Earlier, in Russia, a military medic was imprisoned after his academic publications were classified as “high treason.”

It was also reported that in the Luhansk region, occupying forces are mass-confiscating housing from lawful owners.
