Occupiers in Luhansk region are forcibly seizing housing from lawful owners

In the temporarily occupied territories of Luhansk region, the invaders continue a large-scale campaign to confiscate property from its lawful owners.

The head of the terrorist entity “LPR”, Leonid Pasechnik, stated that around 12,000 apartments have been added to lists of “ownerless property”, which are subject to so-called nationalisation.

According to Pasechnik, initially 17,000 properties were included in the lists. After public threats to seize homes, about 5,000 owners “appeared”, trying to save their property. The occupation administration cynically uses housing as a tool of pressure to force people to return to the occupied territories and accept Russian citizenship in order to re-register documents.

The head of the occupiers openly admitted that the “housing issue” is one of the top priorities for the fake “government”.

On local Telegram channels, the news has provoked an outcry. People complain about being unable to travel due to danger and closed borders, as well as deliberate bureaucratic hurdles. The occupiers demand the personal presence of the owner with original documents. Re-registration under the new “laws” is accompanied by huge queues at service centres and demands for money.

Earlier, in the temporarily occupied territories of Luhansk region, Russian invaders began openly plundering the agricultural sector.
