Massive missile and drone attack on Kyiv: casualties and destruction

On the night of 25 November, Kyiv was the target of a large-scale attack involving Kalibr cruise missiles, ballistic missiles, and drones.

The attack caused significant damage to residential buildings, including a 22-storey building in Pechersk, where a fire broke out. According to the Ukrainian Air Force, the missiles were launched from the Novorossiysk area and from Bryansk, with several successful interceptions confirmed.

The enemy targeted Kyiv with drones, Kalibr cruise missiles, ballistic missiles, and Kinzhal missiles. At least two high-rise buildings were damaged, one in the central part of the city and another on the left bank. Seven people were injured, and 18 were rescued. One fatality has been reported.

Kalibr missiles passed through the central regions heading north. Monitoring channels reported successful interceptions, and the cruise missiles were no longer detected in the Kyiv area.

Following this, the enemy fired several salvos of ballistic missiles from the Bryansk region and launched aeroballistic Kinzhal missiles from MiG-31K aircraft. No separate information on the consequences of the Kinzhal strike has been released.

Towards the end of the attack, strike drones approached Kyiv from multiple directions, including Obolon. City authorities confirmed the combined nature of the strike. Air defence forces were engaged against the incoming aerial targets.

Among the seven people injured was a 14-year-old girl. Power and water supply disruptions were reported in various areas of the capital. Emergency services are actively working to localise the damage and eliminate the consequences of the attack.
