In the Chernihiv region, 380,000 customers were left without power following an attack by Russia
On the morning of April 18, approximately 380,000 customers in the Chernihiv region were left without power following a Russian attack.
This was reported by Chernihivoblenergo JSC on Telegram.
As noted, an important energy facility in the Nizhyn district was damaged around 4:00 a.m. As a result, the power outage affected several cities and districts in the region at once.
Residents of Chernihiv, Pryluky, Nizhyn, Slavutych, as well as settlements in the Chernihiv, Nizhyn, and Pryluky districts were left without power.
Power utility workers are already working to address the consequences of the attack and restore power.
The day before, Russian troops carried out a massive drone attack on the energy infrastructure of Zhytomyr Oblast, concentrating the strike of approximately 20 drones on a single substation. The power company stated that critical infrastructure facilities remain one of the enemy’s main targets and confirmed the attack.
