100 combat engagements recorded on the front on December 22 — General Staff
As of 4:00 p.m. on December 22, 100 combat engagements had been recorded along the front line, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.
The enemy shelled settlements in the Sumy and Chernihiv regions, including Stetskivka, Ulanove, Bila Bereza, Bleshniia, and Mykolaivka. In the Northern Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, five attacks and 71 shelling incidents against Ukrainian Armed Forces positions were recorded, one of them involving multiple launch rocket systems.
In the Southern Slobozhanskyi direction, two combat engagements occurred. In the Kupiansk direction, five attacks were carried out, all of which were repelled by Ukrainian defenders. In the Lyman direction, there were eight attacks; in the Sloviansk direction, five attacks were recorded, with some engagements still ongoing.
No fighting was recorded in the Kramatorsk direction. In the Kostiantynivka direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled 17 enemy attempts. In the Pokrovsk direction, 33 attacks were repelled, with three combat engagements still ongoing. In the Oleksandrivka direction, seven assault actions were repelled, while fighting continues at three locations.
In the Huliaipole direction, the enemy carried out eight attacks, with one engagement still ongoing. In the Orikhiv direction, ten attacks were recorded, two of which are still ongoing; the enemy also carried out air strikes on Vozdvyzhivka, Liubytske, Barvinivka, and Zaliznychne. No fighting was recorded in the Dnipro direction.
