Over 60 combat engagements recorded on the front since the start of the day
Since the start of the day, 61 combat engagements have taken place on the front, 18 of them on the Pokrovsk direction, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.
The most active fighting continues in eastern Ukraine.
This information comes from the General Staff’s update on the frontline situation as of 04:00 p.m. on December 25.
Enemy artillery strikes from Russian territory were recorded in the following areas:
Chernihiv region: Khrinivka, Klyusy, Yasna Poliana
Sumy region: Ulanove, Ryzhivka, Malushyne, Simeykine, Bila Bereza, Sukhodil, Hirky, Iskriskivshchyna, Brusky, Volfyne, Yastrubshchyna
Situation in the North
In the North-Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, the enemy carried out one airstrike, dropping a single bomb, and conducted 49 attacks on settlements and positions of our units, including one using a multiple launch rocket system.
Situation in Kharkiv region
On the South-Slobozhansky direction, the enemy attacked five times near Vovchansk and Dvorichanske.
On the Kupiansk direction, the enemy is attempting to advance toward Hlushkivka. The battle is ongoing.
Fighting in the east
Lyman direction: Ukrainian forces repelled eight enemy attacks near Novoselivka, Stavky, Novosergiivka, and toward Ozerne and Zarychne. Four engagements are still ongoing.
Sloviansk direction: The enemy attacked three times near Siversk and Serebrianka. One engagement is still ongoing.
Kramatorsk direction: No engagements recorded at this time.
Kostiantynivka direction: The enemy carried out ten offensive actions near Kostiantynivka, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Pleshchiivka, Kleban-Byk, Shcherbynivka, and Sofiivka. One attack is still ongoing.
