312 combat engagements recorded on the front over the past day: General Staff report for 8 February
Over the past 24 hours, an unprecedented number of combat engagements were recorded on the front line — 312 attacks carried out by occupying forces.
The most critical situation remains on the Pokrovsk axis, where the enemy is concentrating maximum efforts to break through defensive positions.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the enemy launched two missile strikes and carried out 65 air raids across Ukrainian territory.
In total, the occupiers dropped 148 guided aerial bombs and used nearly 4,000 kamikaze drones to strike the positions of Ukrainian forces.
On the Pokrovsk sector of the front, Ukrainian defenders repelled 72 assault actions. Fighting took place in the areas of Rodynske, Pokrovsk, Myrnohrad and a number of other strategic locations, where the enemy is attempting to develop its offensive.
Significant activity was also recorded on the Kostiantynivka axis, where 32 attacks took place. Russian forces attempted to advance near Pleshchiivka and Yablunivka, but the Defence Forces held their positions despite heavy pressure.
Intense fighting continues on the Lyman and Huliaipole axes as well, with 22 and 29 assaults recorded respectively over the past day. The occupiers attempted to break into defensive lines near Drobyshcheve and Huliaipole, deploying large numbers of infantry.
