50 combat engagements recorded along the front line over the past day
As of 4:00 p.m. on 14 January 2026, the situation along the front line remains tense. Since the beginning of the day, Ukrainian forces have recorded 50 combat engagements and repelled most enemy attacks, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The most intense fighting continues on the Southern Slobozhanskyi, Pokrovsk, and Huliaipole axes. On the Northern Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, Ukrainian defenders repelled an enemy assault following 64 shelling incidents, including three carried out using multiple launch rocket systems.
On the Southern Slobozhanskyi axis, seven enemy attacks were recorded near Vovchansk and the settlements of Hrafske, Vovchanski Khutory and Kruhlye; three engagements are still ongoing. On the Kupiansk, Lyman and Sloviansk axes, the enemy was repelled during attempted offensives.
On the Kostiantynivka axis, Ukrainian troops repelled ten attacks in the areas of Kostiantynivka, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Pleshchiivka, Ivanopillia and Shcherbynivka, as well as towards Sofiivka and Torske.
On the Pokrovsk axis, the enemy launched 16 assault attempts; Ukrainian forces repelled 13 of them, while three engagements are ongoing. On the Oleksandrivka and Huliaipole axes, four and six attacks respectively were repelled. Fighting continues near Ivanivka, Nove Zaporizhzhia, Dobropillia, Zelene and Sviatopetrivka. The enemy also carried out air strikes on Havrylivka, Rizdvianivka and Zaliznychne.
Russian shelling damaged settlements in Sumy Oblast (Rohizne, Ulanove, Bezsalivka, Studenok, Volfyne and Kucherivka) and Chernihiv Oblast (Halahanivka, Khrinivka and Zaliznyi Mist).
No significant changes were recorded on other fronts. Ukrainian forces continue to wear down the enemy along the entire line of contact and in rear areas.
Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, which began on 24 February 2022, has now lasted more than 1,418 days.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine have also thwarted the occupiers’ plans to seize Odesa.
