112 combat engagements recorded on the front over the past day
As of 4:00 p.m. on Friday, December 26, 112 combat engagements have been recorded along Ukraine’s front line. The hottest areas remain the Lyman, Pokrovsk, and Kostiantynivka directions.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russia continues shelling border areas from its own territory. Settlements in Sumy region were affected, including Kucherivka, Ryzhivka, Iskryskivshchyna, Bezsalivka, Malushyne, Volfyne, Bilokopytove, and Ulanove, as well as settlements in Chernihiv region such as Bleshniia, Kliusy, and Hirsk.
In the Northern Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, Ukrainian defenders repelled three enemy attacks. The enemy carried out two airstrikes, dropped four guided aerial bombs, and conducted 61 shelling attacks, one of them using multiple launch rocket systems.
In the Southern Slobozhanskyi direction, Russian forces launched nine attacks on Ukrainian positions near Vovchanski Khutory and Prylipky, as well as toward Vilcha and Izbytske. Three battles are still ongoing.
In the Kupiansk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled five attacks near Pishchane, Kruhliakivka, Petropavlivske, Novoplatonivka, and Kupiansk. Four combat engagements are ongoing.
In the Lyman direction, Russian forces launched 27 attacks near Hrekivka, Novovodianе, Serednie, Ridkodub, Kolodiazi, Shandryholove, Zarichne, and Stavky. Three battles are ongoing across eight locations.
In the Sloviansk direction, fighting continues near Dronivka. No enemy offensive actions were recorded in the Kramatorsk direction.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, Russian forces carried out 18 attacks near Oleksandro-Shultyne, Shcherbynivka, Pleshchiivka, Yablunivka, Rusyn Yar, and Sofiivka. Six combat engagements are still ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy attacked 20 times over the past day near Shakhove, Pankivka, Nykanorivka, Myrnohrad, Rodynske, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Novoserhiivka, and Dachne. Five battles are ongoing.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, Russian forces carried out eight attacks near Zelenyi Hai, Yalta, Tovste, Vorone, and Rybne. Three combat engagements are ongoing, and the village of Prosiana was hit by an airstrike.
In the Huliaipole direction, Ukrainian forces repelled seven enemy attacks near Varvarivka and Huliaipole, while seven more combat engagements are ongoing. Airstrikes hit the settlements of Vozdvyzhivka, Pryluky, and Zaliznychne.
In the Orikhiv direction, Ukrainian defenders are repelling three attacks near Mali Shcherbaky. No enemy attacks were recorded in the Dnipro River direction.
Earlier, the 67th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the village of Tykhe in Dnipropetrovsk region had been cleared of Russian forces.
Ukraine’s Defense Forces also liberated the villages of Kindrashivka and Radkivka, as well as several neighborhoods in northern Kupiansk, cutting Russian supply routes and stabilizing the situation in the Kupiansk direction.
