Vladimir Tirtichny, a soldier and employee of the media company Starlight Media, was killed in battles against Russian occupiers.
“We have received confirmation of the death of our colleague and soldier Volodymyr Tyrtychny,” the statement reads.
Volodymyr had worked at Starlight Media since 2016. He started as an assistant director on the “Surprise” project, later became an editor and director of post-production, and in recent years served as a specialist in preparing programs for broadcast.
Volodymyr is remembered as a kind, open, sincere, and cheerful person—someone with whom, after just a few words, you felt as if you had known him for a long time.
He traded the hard work of a miner for a career as a film editor and quickly found his place in the world of television. He often spoke of his family and his childhood in Luhansk. He dreamed of building a house and had many plans for the future.
Volodymyr was drafted into military service in July 2024 and had been listed as missing in action since November 14. The company has now confirmed that Volodymyr died on that day, the company noted.
The company’s press office reported this on Facebook.
Vitaliy Stefan, a historian and soldier from Magury, was killed on the front lines.
Earlier, Oleksiy Yukov, the leader of the “Platsdarm” search and rescue team from Sloviansk, was killed.
Prior to that, arm-wrestling champion Igor Gladkyi was killed on the front lines.
Dmytro Hladirenko, a saxophonist from Chernihiv, was killed on the front lines.
