Fires at three warehouses in the Kyiv region were extinguished following an attack by Russia
Rescue workers extinguished fires at three warehouses that broke out following a Russian attack on the Kyiv region. Firefighters put out the blazes at all three sites.
The State Emergency Service reported this in a Telegram message.
“Kyiv Region: Fires at three warehouse facilities have been extinguished,” the message reads.
It also noted that on the evening of September 1, the enemy struck three warehouses in the Bucha District of the Kyiv region. The attack caused fires and destruction.
Rescue workers quickly arrived at the scene and began extinguishing the fires.
“Thanks to the professional actions of the firefighters, the fires in the three warehouse buildings have been extinguished,” the statement emphasizes.
It also notes that while rescue workers were on the scene, the enemy treacherously launched two more strikes on the warehouses, creating additional danger for the personnel. Firefighting efforts were also complicated by constant air raid alerts.
In Kyiv and several regions, an air raid alert was issued on the evening of September 1 at 6:24 p.m. due to the threat of Russian UAVs. The Ukrainian Air Force urged citizens to immediately seek shelter or follow the “two-wall rule” if safe facilities were not accessible.
Ukraine is conducting combat tests of at least four jet interceptors designed to counter Russian jet drones.
