In Crimea, the head of a foundation close to Putin died following an attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces
Anatoly Chernyshov, executive director of the Russian “People’s Front” foundation, has died in the temporarily occupied Crimea. The organization itself stated that he was wounded as a result of an airstrike by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the “People’s Front,” Anatoly Chernyshov sustained blast injuries near the village of Skvortsove in the Simferopol district.
He was subsequently taken to a hospital, but doctors were unable to save him—he died from his injuries.
At the same time, the information about the circumstances of his injury, as disseminated by the Russian side, is currently based on statements from the foundation itself.
The “People’s Front” also stated that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin posthumously awarded Anatoly Chernyshov the Order of Courage.
The circumstances under which Chernyshov was wounded and all the details of the incident are currently being clarified.
As a reminder, earlier in occupied Sevastopol, a car explosion occurred; according to local media reports, a Russian serviceman may have been inside the vehicle.
After the explosion, occupation security forces cordoned off the area.
According to one account, an explosive device went off in the car; according to another, the vehicle may have been attacked by a drone.
These events are taking place against the backdrop of regular attacks and acts of sabotage on the temporarily occupied Crimean Peninsula.
