Drones attack oil infrastructure in Russia’s Kuban region
On the night of April 9, drones attacked oil facilities in Russia’s Krasnodar region. The strike targeted the “Krymskaya” linear production and dispatch station, a key hub of major oil pipelines.
This was reported by Russian media and monitoring channels.
The facility ensures the transportation of oil and petroleum products to the port of Novorossiysk, as well as to the Ilsky and Afipsky oil refineries.
As a result of the attack, a fire broke out on the station’s premises — a 110 kV substation caught fire. Local residents reported power outages.
Krasnodar region governor Veniamin Kondratyev confirmed the incident but stated it was caused by “falling drone debris.” According to him, one local resident was killed.
In addition, eyewitnesses reported a series of explosions near the city of Krymsk, where a Russian military airfield is located.
According to them, at least 20 explosions were heard over the course of about an hour in the suburbs. Bright flashes were visible in the sky, likely indicating air defense activity, while drones were also observed flying at low altitude.
Information about the extent of the damage and possible consequences for military infrastructure is being clarified.
Earlier, on the evening of April 6, Ukrainian drones carried out a successful strike on facilities of the joint-stock company “Minudobreniya” located in the city of Rossosh in Russia’s Voronezh region.
Ukraine’s Defense Forces continue to successfully repel Russian offensive attempts in the areas of Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad.
Pokrovsk has become a critically important direction for Ukraine’s defense.
Units of Ukraine’s Defense Forces in the area of responsibility of the “East” operational group repelled 106 Russian attacks over the past day.
