49 combat engagements recorded along the frontline
As of 04:00 p.m. on 27 January 2026, 49 combat engagements have been recorded along the line of contact. Russian forces are conducting artillery and air strikes on border regions and are attempting offensive actions in several directions, in particular on the Pokrovsk and Huliaipole axes.

In the Northern Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, the enemy carried out 40 shelling attacks on populated areas and positions of Ukrainian units. In the Kharkiv region, the enemy attacked twice in the areas of Prylipky and Vovchanski Khutory. One combat engagement was recorded on the Kupiansk direction.
In the east, Ukrainian forces repelled an enemy attack on the Lyman direction near Drobyshcheve. On the Sloviansk direction, one combat engagement took place near Platonivka. No combat engagements were recorded on the Kramatorsk direction, while on the Kostiantynivka direction eight offensive actions occurred near Pleshchiivka, Kleban-Byk, Shcherbynivka, Sofiivka, Stepanivka and Novopavlivka.
On the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy attempted to advance towards Ukrainian positions 23 times near Rodynske, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Filiia, Bilytske and Hryshyne. On the Oleksandrivka direction, the aggressor attacked twice near Verbove and Zlahoda.
In the south, Ukrainian defenders repelled seven attacks on the Huliaipole direction, with two more attacks ongoing. The enemy carried out air strikes on Zaliznychne and Verkhnia Tersa. On the Orikhiv direction, positions near Plavni were attacked, while air strikes hit Odarivka, Zhovta Kruchka and Tavriiske. On the Dnipro direction, the enemy once unsuccessfully conducted offensive actions near the Antonivskyi Bridge.
No significant changes in the situation were recorded on other directions. Ukrainian forces continue to wear down the enemy along the entire line of contact and in the rear.
The Chief of the Russian General Staff, Valery Gerasimov, announced the “capture” of Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi in the Kharkiv region; however, according to OSINT analysts, Russian forces have not even approached the settlement.
As a reminder, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have driven out an operational reserve of Russian troops in Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad.
Additionally, on the Kupiansk direction, Ukrainian forces destroyed an enemy artillery gun using FPV drones.
