Teachers in Luhansk region forced to monitor students’ social media
In the temporarily occupied territories of the Luhansk region, occupying forces are tightening control over children and young people. The occupation administration has ordered local school teachers to regularly monitor students’ activity on social media.
In this way, the occupiers are seeking to strengthen ideological influence and control over teenagers.
This was reported with reference to the Luhansk Regional State Administration.
According to reports, teachers received direct instructions from Russian security forces to track children’s activity online. As each class teacher is responsible for 20–30 pupils, educators are being forced to shift part of this “work” onto parents.
Parents are required to carefully check their children’s accounts and immediately report any “suspicious” content.
The Luhansk Regional State Administration describes these measures as part of a systematic policy by the occupiers to turn the captured territories into an “information vacuum”.
Fearing pro-Ukrainian sentiment, the authorities are attempting to establish full control over citizens’ private lives, using teachers and technical communication restrictions to do so.
It should be recalled that Ukraine’s General Staff confirmed precise strikes on Russian forces near Donetsk airport.
It was also reported that Russian military losses have exceeded 1.27 million personnel, according to the General Staff.
Over the past day, Russia reportedly lost 790 troops and six air defence systems in the war against Ukraine.
Ukraine’s Defence Forces also struck a space communications centre and enemy air defence facilities.
It was also reported that powerful explosions were heard at the Belbek airfield in Crimea.
Drones also targeted the Ilsky oil refinery and Sevastopol.
