In southern Ukraine, Russian forces are intensifying artillery attacks, according to the Defence Forces
The situation in southern Ukraine remains tense, with Russian troops continuing artillery shelling, drone strikes, and actively using aviation against the positions of the Defence Forces.
According to the Defence Forces in southern Ukraine, 33 combat engagements were recorded over the past day.
During this period:
- Oleksandrivsk direction: 11 attacks near Sichneve and Zlahoda, as well as towards Ivanivka and Nova Zaporizhzhia.
- Huliaipole direction: 20 attacks repelled in the Huliaipole area and towards Dobropillia, Zelenyi, and Sviatopetrivka.
- Orikhiv direction: 2 attacks repelled near Prymorske and towards Pavlivka.
- Prydniprovsk direction: the enemy did not conduct offensive actions.
In the operational zone of the “South” group of forces, the occupiers carried out nine airstrikes, using 48 guided bombs. In addition, the enemy employed almost 1,800 kamikaze drones of various types, carried out 220 drone drops, and used 240 munitions.
The Ukrainian Defence Forces continue to repel attacks and hold their positions, the military emphasises.
Over the past day, in the Pokrovske direction, Ukrainian troops repelled 25 assault attacks by Russian invaders and successfully stopped numerous attempts by the enemy to advance, inflicting significant losses on them.
