In the Sumy region, paratroopers destroyed Russian attack helicopters inside a gas pipeline
Soldiers from the 71st Separate Airborne Brigade of the 8th Corps of the Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine killed 29 Russian soldiers.
According to military sources, the occupiers attempted to infiltrate the rear of Ukrainian positions in the Sumy region, using a gas pipeline for this purpose.
Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, reported this on Telegram.
“The enemy is carrying out assault attempts in the Sumy region. The key point is that this is not an offensive on Sumy. We are mainly talking about attempts by assault groups in the border area,” the message states.
According to him, during one of the assaults, 29 invaders attempted to infiltrate the rear of the 71st Airborne Brigade’s positions by moving along a gas pipeline. The entire enemy group was eliminated.
